What we reduce by
- Reduction for service before 1987Crown immunity applied automatically based on the proportion of your service that fell before 15 May 1987, when the law changed.
- MOD standard settlement reductionThe Matrix discount, an agreed reduction under the MOD settlement framework, based on when you left service.
- Reduction to reflect the risk of going to courtA standard fixed reduction applied to all estimates to reflect the uncertainty inherent in any legal case. This does not mean you will go to court.
These reductions are applied in sequence to your gross estimate to produce your net figure. They are the same reductions a solicitor would apply when preparing a formal schedule of loss.
